Ballroom Dancing
As a young girl, inspired by the artistry of Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, Ginger
Rogers, Shirley Temple, Fayard and Harold Nicholas and Gregory Hines, Heather
very briefly studied ballet and tap. Although her main focus has been music,
she found time to study basic tap with Gail Bourque, currently an instructor
at Rhythm Break Productions in New York City .
In ballroom and latin dance, Heather has found a new dancing expression. At DanceSport, Dance
To Happiness and Fred Astaire Dance Studios in New York City, she has trained
to compete in American Smooth and Latin dance. Performing pieces specifically
choreographed for music she has composed gives her double the enjoyment.
